About Me

I am a multimedia artist drawn to bold color, texture, and movement.

I work in acrylics, watercolor, alcohol inks, sculpture, and paper jewelry.

My work moves between abstraction to realism, offering different ways of responding to the natural beauty that surrounds me in Sonoma County—its vineyards, redwoods, coastline, and golden light.

For over 17 years, I was the founding Artistic Director of the award-winning professional theatre company, Berkeley Playhouse. I am proud to have taught thousands of students over the years. I have also directed and musically staged over 30 shows.

I currently live in the Bay Area with my family and adorable Golden Doodle Bella.

  • “Elizabeth gets to the heart of things with so much joy and passion. She challenges me to get out of my comfort zone and dive into creative thinking. It’s good for me as an artist and also just as a human. I live so much more fully and vibrantly when I’m engaged creatively. I can’t wait to try more groups and workshops.”

  • “I have Elizabeth to thank for reconnecting me with my inner creativity! She is a fantastic teacher and facilitator who makes group work unintimidating and welcoming for all individuals, from diverse backgrounds and varying experience levels. I am eternally grateful and highly recommend taking a class with Elizabeth.”
